CNY Food Sale

The other day tai lo told me what he has in mind; he will be posting a list of food soon so that we can get feedback from u all. ^_^

Meanwhile, I shall just briefly tell you what he has in mind:
1. Cookies
He will get cheap ones from his hometown in perak. I have talked to a few ppl and we all think that cookies should be packed in small packets. Also, attention must be paid to the selection of cookies. After all, 26/2 is after CNY and I am concerned that some ppl are not so keen on cookies anymore. Stay tune for the list from tai lo...we need your opinions in 'shortlisting' the cookies hehe.

2. Yu Sang
Tai Lo also suggested that we can prepare our own yee sang and sell in bowls. He can get the sauce recipe from his mum. I am not a fan of yu sang, and I am thinking that since it is after CNY, will ppl still be keen? Thus we need your comments, coz cookies fan like me will still wanna eat cookies after CNY. So we would like to know generally what you guys think of yu sang.

* Yu sang, btw, is the CNY salad that people 'lou' or toss b4 eating. <--ALEN didn't know what yu sang was when I mentioned it to him hehe*
Yúshēng (鱼生) is interpreted as homophone for Yúshēng (余升) meaning an increase in abundance. Therefore, yusheng is considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor. -Wikipedia

3. Fried Nin Kao
Dai lo will be getting raw nin kao from his hometown because it is cheaper than kl, and nicer too. Ofcuz kl has nice ones too but the price is much higher.

4. Tong Yuen
This idea hit me as I was making tong yuen for reunion dinner just now. Remember the msian studies project? I still recall that our AH LENG TONG YUEN *wink at pui san* was quite a hit. This time round, though we will be charging them, the price won't be high as the cost price is cheap!

We can make tong yuen with gula melaka, red bean paste (buy from outside, no need to be homemade like ours hehe), blended groundnuts and sugar as fillings.

Of course, we would like your feedback for this idea too; because we need to know what potential consumers think. ^_^

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!! May the year of Rat brings us bountiful joy, good health, and good luck in EOS hehe. Play more, Win more and get more angpows!! Gong Xi Fa Cai!!'

Happy Rat Year,
gw
